How does a Tattoo heal?
When you get a tattoo, your skin undergoes healing in the first two weeks:
1. Days 1-3: The area may be red, swollen, and tender as your body begins healing. Keep it clean and moisturized.
2. Days 4-7: The tattoo forms scabs as new skin cells grow. It may feel itchy, but avoid scratching.
3. Days 8-14: Scabs start to flake off, revealing healed ink underneath. The deeper skin layers are still healing.
